Your hotel in Oberbozen on the Ritten plateau:
in harmony with nature
At our hotel in Oberbozen in South Tyrol, which revolves entirely around nature and natural experiences, you will enjoy a relaxing break. As hosts of our hotel in Oberbozen on the Ritten pleateau, we are convinced that those who value and respect nature will ultimately benefit from it. For this reason, we place great importance on using our resources sustainably, not least due to our bees. Not only do we think organic, we also act organic, as our “GREENSIGN” award proves. Our apiary is Bioland certified and our restaurant is a partner of Bioland e.V. and has also been awarded its Silver rating. Every year, over 200 beehives provide us with the finest honey products, from mead, beeswax, propolis, and honey to honeycomb and bee air, all of which are highly valued by our guests.
The district heating plant on the Ritten pleateau supplies our hotel in Oberbozen with green energy. The waste from wood production is converted into bioenergy – CO2-neutral and environmentally friendly. When it comes to cuisine, Manfred, the chef and son of the house, does everything he can to use natural and local ingredients. With great attention to detail, he turns them into healthy and delicious dishes for our guests.

Four seasons, endless opportunities
Sitting on the Renon – aptly called “South Tyrol’s sunny plateau” – and wrapped in woodland and meadows, the Rinner is the ideal accommodation for quiet-seeking nature lovers and variety-thirsty connoisseurs. From early spring to late autumn, its charming location makes it a congenial starting point for a number of walks and hikes. Local standouts including the renowned Renon Earth Pyramids, the Renon Horn mountain, and sprawling meadows and beech forests are all within easy reach.
At 1,000 metres of altitude, the Renon plateau offers fresh air and cool temperatures, which makes it a popular summer retreat for tourists and locals seeking to escape the valley’s heat.
Winter is quite a romantic business around here. This is the time when nature goes to sleep under a thick duvet of snow, shiny icicles festoon the house roofs and the local Christmas markets fill the air with their enticing scents, bright lights and merry melodies.
If you would like to take a leisurely tour to soak up the panorama of the Renon and environs, but do not quite fancy the tramp, all you have to do is take a seat on the Renon train. It is a narrow-gauge railway service departing from the Maria Assunta/Maria Himmelfahrt stop and leading through Soprabolzano/Oberbozen all the way to Collalbo/Klobenstein – a scenic route offering gorgeous glimpses of the Dolomites. Conveniently enough, the Rinner request stop is right behind our hotel.
